─ Co-housing
─ 700 m2
─ Completed 2019
In the self-building development of Buiksloterham, three friends decided to build together on adjacent plots. By sharing a structural system, mass timber became affordable for the young families and the project has been erected in full cross-laminated timber. A shared set of details makes the project express the collective effort, with a large shared garden with large wooden verandas on the south side.
On the interior, three individually tailored spatial layouts turn the houses into unique, but recognizable in its language. Due to the deep plot dimensions, each house has a central void for daylight, but all in a different manner.
