The 3rd of December, krft will speak about their installation ‘Self-ish City’ at the finnissage of ‘The Right to Build’, a exhibition about self-building development in The Netherlands. The exhibition is curated by Failed Architecture, who invited three studios - Bureau SLA, Loa and krft - to formalize their future vision on self build development in an installation.
In our installation ‘Self-ish City’ we explain our love-hate relationship with self build development. In a self-build game we try to engage the visitors to discover the friction between individual freedom and collective needs. Our goal? High density DIY urban development. This installation can be seen as physical output from our research Dense Individuality.
