Friday the 16th of september, the renewed KAF Almere will be reopened with the Kaftival, a multitude of activities in the building to showcase its transformation.

Last months we have been working hard on the transformation of the building, a masterpiece by SANAA, to allow for the new space for modern art, the architecture forum and the new City Lounge.

Part of the new KAF is the Architectuur Studio, the largest urban model made of Lego blocks. Many of Almere's architectural highlights will be on display.

Meanwhile, we are working extra hours to finalize things. Together with artist Sander Bokkinga, we have designed the new Citylounge interior. The design consists of CNC milled puzzle pieces which are put together last minute before the opening.
